    Abstract:
The Nanpanjiang Limestone of eastern Yunnan has long been known as one of theimportant Devonian beds in South China. It was first proposed by Prof.Y.C.Sun in1943,and tentatively included in the upper member of the Miaokaoshan formation ofEarly Devonian age with Gypidula pseudogleata Hall as a leading fossil.Since thenmost geologists and palaeontologists have followed Sun’s assignment, while few othershave held it to be Early Middle Devonian. At the type locality near Poshi districtalong the Nanpanjiang Valley the Nanpanjiang Limestone is composed of yellowish-greyor dark grey limestone with an approximate thickness of 40—70 meters, and is overlainby the Bothriolepis-bearing beds of Lunghuashan formation.

    Abstract:
The material described in this paper was collected from the Upper Triassic andMiddle Jurassic formations of Tungchuan,Liulingchuan,Yenhe-Xixingzihe and Dalihe inthe Ordos Basin of Shensi Province by the members of the Geological Expedition of theInstitute of Geology of Lanchow,Academia Sinica,in April,1961.A considerable number of ostracods have been discovered nearly from all formationsin many parts of China, yet the Triassic ostracods are comparatively rare.As far asthe writer is aware, only a few species have been known from the Lower Triassic of

    Abstract:
In soumeastern Kansu, there is a vast area of metamorphosed sedimentary rockscomposed of quartzites, crystallized limestones and slates with some intercalations ofhematites exposed in the valley of Lengputze to the north of Wen Xian, and in the valleyof Sunchiayuan to the west of Kang Xian.In 1944,Yeh and Kwan named the abovementioned strata at Lengputze Lupanchiao Quartzite and referred it to Lower Carbo-niferous.Lately(1959),by the discovery of Tabulata(Favosites sp.),C.H.Huang re-garded it as the upper part of the so-called Pikou Group of Lower Palaeozoic in age. While carrying on a field exploration in 1960,one of the writers,Kuo,collected a fewfossils from the same section and the corresponding strata in Kang Xian. They arelisted helow

    Abstract:
The literatures on the Permian Sporae dispersae are rather meagre and scattered ascompared with those on the Carboniferous. The correlation of sediments of long geo-graphical distance in this period is thus nearly impossible at this moment. As far as isknown to the present writer, the contributors to the Permian microflora are Dalhunty(1945,49),Balme(1952,1955,1956),Imgrund(1952,1960),Klause(1953),Potonie& Klause(1954),Leschik(1956);Luber(1938),Kara-Murza(1952),Samoilovich(1953),Zoricbeva & Sedova(1954),Andreeva(1956),Zauer(1960),Medvedeva(1960)andothers.
