    Abstract:
    The specimens of Ostracoda dealt herewith were collected by Messrs.K.C.Yangand A.T.Mu from the Ichang formation of Lower Ordovician during their field tripin western Hupei in the Spring of 1951.Six new species in three different genera ofwhich one is new,are described in the present paper.All of them are found inassociation with graptolites and triobites.The Ichang formation has been divided into three fossil zones by Hsu ande Ma(1948,p.6).

    Abstract:
    he present paper deals with a petrified wood found in the collections of the formerDepartment of Geology of Peking University.It was collected by a Japanese geologistfrom Ma-An-Shan of the Chimo district,about 10 km.to the northeast of the NanchuanStation of the Chingtao-Chinan Railway and 8 km.to the northeast of the City Chimo.The geological formation,from which this wood was derived,is unknown.As the locality Ma-An-Shan of the Chimo district is noted for the occurrence of a Mesozoic fossil forest("青岛之化石林"第一页,青岛山东产业馆),the present specimen belongs evidcntly to the Mesozoic.
