The variegated sandstone and conglomerate beds of the Dagzhuka Formation are exposed widely along the Yarlung Zangbo River in the Xigaze region,Xizang (Tibet),associated with the collision of the Indian and Laurasian plates and the uplift of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau.
