本专题聚焦近年来我国学者对华南寒武纪无脊椎动物及海洋生态的部分新研究进展, 收录了来自18个研究单位的40位作者的6篇论文, 涉及寒武纪早、中期的古无脊椎动物形态学、生物地层学、埋藏学、年代学、古生态学等研究方向。这些研究进展为理解寒武纪无脊椎动物的辐射及现代型海洋生态系统的演化提供了新证据。

This special issue presents recent progress in the study of Cambrian invertebrates and marine ecosystems of South China by domestic scholars. It compromises nine articles contributed by 40 authors from 18 institutions. Six articles in this issue cover diverse research areas such as invertebrate morphology, biostratigraphy, taphonomy, chronology, and paleoecology. Collectively, these studies provide new insights into the radiation of the Cambrian invertebrates and new evidence for the evolution of modern-type marine ecosystems in Earth’s history.
