[Abstract]
The Early Jurassic Lithiotis bioherm is,for the first time,found from the Nyalam area,southern Tibet.It is suggested that Tethyan Himalaya terrane started to shift northward in the Early Jurassic time,and at least during the Toarcian the terrane was close to or in the low latitude area of Tethys Ocean where the tropic bivalve, Lithiotis was fairly flourished.
