The Wujiu Coal Basin is situated in the Hulun Buir League of northeastern Inner Mongolia, near the Hailar City In this region the Damoguaihe Formation is a continental facies intercalated with coal-bearing rocks from which fossil plants and Estheria were derived. The fossil plants are composed of such species as Foliosites formosus Ren(gen et sp. nov ), Equisetites hulunensis Ren (sp. nov.).
