In the museum of our institute there are many specimens of minure trilobites thatmerit description.As shown on the labels the great majority of these were collectedfrom the Shihpai Shale and its overlying formations in western Hupei by Messrs.S.C.Hsu and C.T.Ma.The composition of the fauna is of great significance,becauseseveral Lower Cambrian trilobites of typical Atlantic province are associated with theirlarval forms occurring in the Shihpai Shale and in the Archaeocyathina Limestone inthe Gorge distriot of Yangtze.
